Summer Jobs for Internal Candidates

Instructions

Step One: Browse for a specific position on the Job Board.

Step Two: Complete an e-application.

Please allow approximately 20-30 minutes to complete an e-application. Time to complete is dependant on the type of position for which you are applying. If you are applying as a teacher or principal this application will require specific information about your license and/or endorsement including license and/or endorsement numbers. Please have your documents ready in advance.

A completed application includes:

  • E-application (including applicant's statement and EEO form).

Additionally, if you are applying in one of the positions below follow the instructions given:

  • Bilingual (ELA-S) Paraprofessional: You are required to successfully pass the bilingual paraprofessional test. In addition, you are required to pass the WorkKeys Test or demonstrate proof of completion (through college transcripts) of at least 48 semester hours of accredited college credit, or an AA degree or higher. Further information regarding qualifying tests in lieu of college credit will be posted to this website as it becomes available.
  • Bilingual (ELA-S) Teacher: Contact Nelson Molina at 720-423-3733 in Human Resources to review your application. Once you have been contacted for possible employment, you are required to successfully pass the Spanish Language Proficiency Test or other approved test. Information will be provided to you through Human Resources.
  • Clerical Office: Full-time applicants must take and successfully pass an aptitude and typing test, part-time applicants take and successfully pass the typing test. Both tests given free of charge at Emily Griffith Opportunity School. Call 303-575-4758 to schedule
  • Paraprofessional: If you are applying for an instructional para position, you are required to demonstrate proof of completion (through college transcripts) of at least 48 semester hours of accredited college credit, or an AA degree or higher. Further information regarding qualifying tests in lieu of college credit will be posted to this website as it becomes available.

At the point of interview you may be required to provide:

  • copies of licenses and/or certifications (if required for position)
  • official transcripts of all college/university work completed with degree posted (if required for position)
  • list of three (3) professional references and/or three (3) letters of reference

Note: Because you will be required to provide official transcripts and copies of licenses, certifications and references at the point of interview, it is recommended that you obtain all necessary documents now. You will be notified of the documentation needed when an interview is scheduled.

Step Three: After completing the e-application, you must still apply for a specific position on the Job Board.


Work Visas: The district will consider teachers from foreign countries who are currently in possession of an H1B or J visa. Hiring of visa applicants is limited to high needs endorsement areas. The district does not directly sponsor teachers from other countries. If you have questions, please contact an immigration attorney to inquire about sponsorship by other private or public organizations.
