Employees are compensated based on contributions to DPS in support of our  mission and Shared Core Values. Denver Public Schools is dedicated to rewarding our employees based on performance and we value the contributions our employees make to support education in Denver.
General Provisions
Denver Public Schools has developed a market based compensation program consisting of base salary and performance incentives. This includes:

  • Market driven salaries based differentially on the competitive external market segment in which we compete for talent and the internal value of each job.
  • Incentive pay for licensed school based personnel, school leaders and district-level senior management, which is structured to reward performance focused on student achievement growth and school improvement.

Our goal is to compensate competitively while also retaining internal pay equity.
