Mandatory DPS Benefits Open Enrollment: May 1-20, 2012- Visit Open Enrollment Central. This is an active enrollment year in which employees currently enrolled in a medical plan, or a health care or dependent care flexible spending account, are required to re-enroll to continue their elections. In addition there are two new plans, which are Consumer Driven Health Plans (CDHP).  Please visit Open Enrollment Central for more detailed information and instructions on how to enroll.


IMPORTANT SUMMER INSURANCE INFORMATION: During the summer months, hourly employees may continue benefit coverage by paying their premium portion either by working enough hours through the summer to cover premium costs or by paying through the voucher program. Hourly employees also have the option to waive (drop) their insurance coverage through the summer. If you are an hourly employee and working through the summer or wish to waive insurance July and August, you must indicate your intentions by completing the attached Benefit Summer Insurance Program Selection Form and fax it to 720-423-3924 or return it to Denver Public Schools, Employee Benefit Department, 900 Grant Street, Room 502, Denver, CO 80203 by June 15, 2012. Teacher Forms – 2012-2013 Staffing Information

Human Resources would like to encourage teachers who have been reduced through the “Reduction In Building Staff (RIBS)” process,  to actively apply and interview for vacancies in the District. All available teaching positions, including all positions for which you may be qualified, will be posted at: http://www.teachindenver.com/. Positions for the 2012-2013 school year will be available online starting 2/14/2012.

Paraprofessional Educational Trust Fund
An educational trust fund was established in the Agreement between the Denver Federation for Paraprofessionals and the Denver Public Schools. Interest earned from the $300,000 Trust Fund is used to pay tuition and related expenses for selected paraprofessionals enrolled in an accredited college program leading to certification as a teacher.
